    This position will be filled by a 1099 Contractor. The number of hours required within a week for the performance of the description of work below will vary, as will the duration of the engagement.


    This position is part of a Disaster Recovery team.   We are not first responders, but when natural disasters strike (e.g.., hurricanes, earthquakes, flood waters, tornados, fires, etc.) our team fully engages as part of the recovery process to help restore the communities. Our primary focus is working with homeowners in the restoration of their houses and property.


    We are looking for an individual who is willing, able, and readily available to be a part of this team, who can report for work on short notice and remain engaged throughout the recovery efforts for varying periods of time. Occasional travel to disaster sites may be needed.   In such case, the company covers travel expenses, i.e., travel, per diem (food and lodging). Where reimbursements are provided, they will be provided directly to the individual and in a timely fashion.


    Position Summary:


    We are seeking a detail-oriented, effective, and experienced individual to work with our growing team as a 1099 Contractor to provide day to day IT support. In this position, you will use your expertise to monitor, and maintain our IT systems. You will focus on specific computer network, database, or systems administration. You will install, configure, service, repair and maintain information technology systems in both a stand-alone and client-server environment. You will also participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the organization and ensure that system hardware, operating systems, and software systems are fully operational.




    • Assess infrastructure on a regular basis to ensure it continues to meet necessary demands.
    • Recommend new strategies and IT procedures to increase efficiency, enhance workflow and improve customer satisfaction.
    • Coordinate the needs of in-house IT experts and remote employees, vendors and contractors.
    • Protect customer data from outside infiltration through encryption, secure data storage and other necessary means.
    • Assist with the installation of new hardware and software and help train employees on its use.
    • Manage and oversee departmental quotas.
    • Consult with clients, vendors, and personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss estimate and resolve issues.
    • Administer network and data security, including directory, group policy, firewalls, antivirus, email security, etc.
    • Prepare estimates used by management for purposes of planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
    • Implement corporate data redundancy and disaster recovery plans.
    • Install and configure wireless networking equipment.
    • Create, analyze, report, convert, or transfer data, using specialized applications program software.
    • Provide for the implementation, configuration, deployment and support of systems, including, but not limited to client computing devices and servers.
    • Provide training to new employees and other training sessions as required.
    • Learn user specific software and provide technical support on as need bases.
    • Monitor IT helpdesk ticket system and take actions to close out tickets.
    • Work across multiple locations and travel as necessary.
    • Be available during non-business hours to address any issues.


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field required
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in information technology
    • Industry certifications a strong plus. Preference will be given to individuals with the following: MCSE, CASP, CEH, CISSP, GSEC, GCIH, Sec+, Net+, A+, Cloud+, CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CCDA, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, or MTA.


    • Excellent IT, communication, leadership and management skills.
    • Ability to respond to multiple user/system needs simultaneously.
    • Proven track record of maintaining IT structural integrity.
    • Ability to work well and effectively under pressure.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of hardware technology and concepts.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Solid knowledge on information technologies and systems.
    • Ability to coordinate at multiple-levels and provide great customer service.
    • Ability to successfully resolve all the IT-related issues.
